Admission Procedure
All Academy for Career Exploration (ACE) applying students entering into 9th grade will be chosen through random open lottery process at ACE’s Open House.
To meet the criteria for ACE lottery selection a completed applications must be received on or before March 31, 2009 by Ms. Rochelle Baker, Dean of Admission. All applications received after March 21, 2012 will place on the waiting list for the next available seat.
Instructions for completing the ACE application: Parent(s)/ Guardian(s)
1. Complete both sides of the application, “print only” all the required information clearly, making sure you have answer all questions completely.
2. ACE will verify all applications providence addresses before application submission into the lottery process.
3. ACE selected applications will be assigned a number when drawn from the lottery.
4. All ACE Parent(s)/ Guardian(s) will be notified by telephone or letter explaining the next step.
5. Waiting list applicants will “not” be sent letters and should contact the school to determine their waiting list ranking number.
Important Information to Remember:
Please note that once your child is assigned a number on the waiting list, you will “NOT” be contacted again unless there is an available student seat.
The waiting list is only maintained for “ONE” academic year. You must re-apply each subsequent year to ACE to be considered for enrollment.
You must resident of the city of Providence to attend ACE.
Student completion of previous course work is required for appropriate grade placement.
